About

One job, done properly

The records that prove your policies are being followed. Written for NSW, by people still doing the job.

Paperbark Compliance exists because the writing half of running a service kept swallowing the other half.

Not the policies — most services have those, from a peak body, a national library, or a previous director. The problem is everything underneath them. The supervision audit nobody has done since the last assessment. The drill record that stops in March. The risk assessment that exists as a conversation but not as a document. The incident record built on a template that predates the April 2026 changes and is now missing a mandatory field.

That is the gap an inspector walks into. It is also the gap nobody sells into, because writing 200+ records is unglamorous and writing 1,800 policies is easier to advertise.

So we built the records.

How we work

Three principles

Referenced, not guessed

Every document names the regulation it satisfies. If we cannot point to the obligation, we do not publish the document.

Corrected in public

When we are wrong, the correction goes on the update log with a date and stays there. Read it before you buy.

Grouped by the job

Not by Quality Area, not by alphabet. By the thing you are actually worried about at 4pm on a Tuesday.

Who writes it

Practising directors of NSW education and care services. We are inspected too, by the same regulator, under the same law. We use these documents in our own services before they go on sale.

We do not publish names. Here is why, and here is what we do instead →

What this is not

Paperbark is not a policy library. Keep the one you have — you need it, and replacing it is not the job. This is everything that sits underneath your policies: the records that prove they are real.

Paperbark does not guarantee a rating outcome, and does not give legal, medical or professional advice. Responsibility for compliance rests with the approved provider at all times.
