What this actually is
Is this a policy library?

No, and that is the point. Your policies say what your service does. These are the records that prove it is being done — the supervision audits, drill logs, sleep checks, ratio records, completed risk assessments and registers a regulator actually asks to see. Regulation 170 is not about owning a policy. It is about following one.

Keep whatever policy library you already have. This sits underneath it.

We already pay for a national policy library. Why would we pay for this too?

Because they do different jobs, and the national libraries are honest about it — they supply editable policies and hand the implementation back to you. That handover is the gap.

Together they cost less than a single consultant day. If you had to choose only one, keep the policies and do not buy from us — you would have evidence with nothing to evidence.

Our peak body gives us policy templates free with membership.

They do, and they are good. They are also policies. If you have never had to produce a completed supervision audit, a drill record or a dated risk assessment on the spot, that is the gap we fill.

How many documents, and are they really all NSW-specific?

More than 200, across 45 categories, all written for NSW. Not a national set with a NSW note attached. NSW now has its own regulator and the most divergent regime in the country; a document written for eight jurisdictions cannot be written properly for this one.

Can I see one before I buy?

Yes. Download the complete Psychosocial Hazards Risk Assessment free — it is a full document, not an extract, and it is yours whether you join or not. You can also browse the full list of every title on the Resources page without giving us anything.

Trust and currency
Who writes these?

Practising directors of NSW education and care services, inspected under the same law you are. We do not publish names, and we would rather be judged on the work than on a biography — so we publish our whole editorial standard, including our corrections. How we write and check every document →

How do I know it is current?

Read the update log before you buy. It is public, dated, linked to the source instrument, and it includes the corrections we have had to publish about our own work.

If you find a NSW change we have missed, tell us — we will fix it, publish it, and credit you if you want the credit. Read the update log →

Why a yearly membership instead of buying it once?

Because a compliance document is only correct on the day it is written. NSW changed the incident record in April 2026, the device rules in February 2026, and the WHS psychosocial duty in August 2025. A one-off pack bought last year is quietly wrong in several places and nobody tells you which.

The membership is not access to files. It is the promise that the files stay right, and a public log proving we keep it.

Will this get us a Meeting or Exceeding rating?

No, and be careful of anyone who says otherwise. Ratings are decided by an authorised officer on the evidence of your practice. What we can do is make sure the evidence exists and is where you can find it.

Price, licence and leaving
Why are you so much cheaper than everyone else? What is missing?

Nothing is missing — we do one job instead of five. No consultants, no phone line, no sales team, no training arm, no conference stand. The price is set so a director can approve it without asking anyone.

How does the licence work?

One membership covers one approved service. Multi-service providers hold one membership per service — and there is a group rate.

Do you have a group rate?

Yes. Three or more services under one approved provider are priced per service at a discount, and we will invoice you rather than making you pay by card. See group pricing →

What happens at renewal?

The first 100 services pay $249 for their first year. Renewal is $349 a year after that, and we are telling you now rather than at renewal. We will remind you 30 days before, and you can cancel in one click.

What if it is not right for us?

21 days, full refund, no forms and no argument. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law sit on top of that and are not limited to 21 days.

What happens to our records if we leave?

Your licence to the blank templates ends. Everything you have already filled in stays yours to keep, use and produce to a regulator. Permanently. No export fee, no lock-in.

Can I talk to someone on the phone?

No, and that is deliberate. A phone line means a sales team, and a sales team means a higher price. Email support@paperbarkcompliance.com.au and a director writes back — usually the same day.
